With such a rapid pace of change, it’s important to keep up with the latest and expect to see some new and interesting additions to the mobile technology world in the next few years.
When it comes to smartphones, the top five this year is not much different than it has been in the past. There are four major brands that make most of the smartphones on the market. Apple, Nokia, Samsung, and Motorola make most of their money selling mobile devices. They each have their loyalists and die-hard fans. If you’re one of those people then you will want to check out what the Apple iPhone has to offer and if you’re a fan of Android then you will want to check out the plethora of Google Android phones that are available. It would be a real surprise if there was another OS on the market that was superior to these top five.
The battle for supremacy in the mobile operating system space is fierce. Apple is already known as the leading developer and user of the iPod video player. With the iPhone, they have taken the idea of a portable media player and transformed it into something that can also function as a PDA, laptop computer, and handheld camera all in one. While there are many rumors circulating that an Apple smartphone will be released sometime in 2021 it will most likely be an iOS device. The Apple brand has a lot to gain if they release a device that can do everything that an iPod can do while also complementing the look and feel of an iPhone.
If there is any company that has an ace up their sleeve it is Samsung. They have several devices currently on the market that utilize their own software platforms to allow for software developers to create innovative and high-quality programs. Samsung has the likes of Android, WebOS, and Tizen under their belts which give them a firm foundation upon which to build upon with their own unique software platforms. If there was ever a chance for one of these giants to stumble in their endeavors, it would be now since both of them have a lot of experience with the Android platform and the expanding usability of the iPhone.
The Samsung brand has several options when it comes to smartphone hardware. They offer you the conventional single-style handset that has either a touch screen or a graphical display. Then there is the double-style device that has a ticker display and a keyboard with a trackball. Then there is the mobile phone that combines the features of the two aforementioned devices into one complete package.
The dual-style device is one of their more unique offerings in the mobile world. It features a micro-sim card and a standard-sized rectangular camera lens. The micro-sim card allows connectivity to other devices as well as to a web-based interface if one so desires. Additionally, this device will also allow you to stream videos and music from your camera via Bluetooth. Whether or not this product makes it to the list of Samsung Mobile in 2021 remains to be seen but it is certainly something to keep an eye out for.
Finally, there is AT&T Mobile. This is a name that many will recognize and identify with. For Samsung, it seems they are making a run for the consumer market with several new products every year. This means one can expect this company to put its best foot forward with the launch of at least one new device. One thing that has to be said about AT&T Mobile is that while they have a few choices, like everyone else, they do have the least selection of mobile phones. If you are looking for a simple, no-frills Samsung mobile device this might not be the right choice for you.
