Natural odors are in season every year now, as the weather turns cooler and falls more into the fall/winter category. With the holiday season over and done with and the hustle and bustle of Christmas and New Year starting, it’s a perfect time to reflect on what smells best to bring back into the home. There are so many smells out there, that choosing just one for this article would be difficult…so we’ve done a quick round-up of our favorite scents to give you an idea of the top 10.
If you want to get your foot in the door at Christmas, you need to get into the holiday spirit right away, and one way to do that is by “smelling the cleanest.” This doesn’t mean you go and buy the most expensive smelling Cologne, or the very newest lotion. In fact, that probably isn’t going to work either. What it does mean, though, is getting the freshest possible smells to take home as gifts.
For this reason, many households have begun buying organic perfumes instead of the new fragrances that hit the market all the time. Why is this better? Perfumes and colognes contain harmful chemicals that are absorbed through the skin. For these reasons, they’re best left out of the house when the kids are asleep.
While it might not be as popular as perfume, Cologne is no slouch when it comes to being odor producing. It’s hard to keep our noses from itching when we’re surrounded by lovely smells. Some people even wash their hair and hands with the scent of their perfume. Unfortunately, not everyone is able to do that consistently, which leads to the next smell: the garbage. Garbage scents are also difficult to get out of the nostrils.
The next door to get out of the garbage is the smelly stinky garbage truck. The last thing anyone wants to do is roll down your street smelling like a dumpster. That’s why vacuum cleaners have become such a rage. They’re very easy to use, require little maintenance (other than changing the filter every so often), and they get rid of smells permanently. For only a few dollars, you can get a whole set of bags that’ll keep your home fresh and odor-free for years to come.
But what about the garbage truck itself? The same reasons apply to garbage trucks as to vacuum cleaners: they don’t always work, and they emit a lot of odor. There are some odors that are so powerful that you can’t really consider them “gift items” for the rest of the year. In fact, some companies even go so far as to make their garbage trucks smell like their litters of hungry dogs. For these situations, it would be best to simply get a can of air freshener and breathe easy. There are also some very good, all-natural odor eliminators on the market today that will effectively mask unpleasant odors.
Of course, there are some situations where neither of these solutions will work. In those cases, you might want to look for products that create an ozone layer above the area. This works because ozone helps to kill bacteria, viruses, and other germs. It is, in fact, one of the best natural odor eliminators of the 21st century. It’s worth taking a look at.
All in all, if you’re dealing with an offensive odor, it’s time to turn to odor eliminators. Some of the best choices out there will kill bacteria while making the air smells fresh and clean. You should always remember that it doesn’t matter which type of odor you’re dealing with; you should always aim to make the area as free of the offending smell as possible. You don’t have to spend a lot of money doing so. Look for the products that will work best for you.
