Arsenal are to end their efforts to acquire Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo before the end of the month, as per reports.
Gunners have made a second offer on last weekend for PS65m in addition to PS5m as add-ons. However Brighton immediately rejected the offer because they are still insistent that the Ecuador international will go nowhere.
A transfer expert gave an update in the early hours of Monday morning, stating Caicedo is a “dream” transfer target. Caicedo “would love to join Arsenal” prior to the close in the window. For transfer following Brighton exiled the player from the training facility until February 1.
“Arsenal have made a second bid for Moises Caicedo and it was instantly turned down by Brighton.
“Caicedo is keen to be a part of Arsenal He would like to be to join a premier club in January. As it was his aspiration. However, based on my experience, Brighton will not change their position based on a statements by players. It needs to be a good idea based on their policy. Or else they are ready to fight and retain their player.”
Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi issued his own update on Sunday. The Italian hoping that Caicedo will stay in Brighton’s Amex Stadium until the end of the season.

But this one is will be a concern for the club as well as Moises. It is possible to make mistakes. We’ll figure out the best way to deal with it for the club and for Caicedo and for us.
“The club would prefer Moises to complete his season at the club, however we’re prepared to go ahead without Moises. I appreciate his decisionI am not the chairman, and we’ll see what happens in the coming days.”
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta as well as the technical director Edu are eager to secure the new midfielder they want before the deadline. Mohamed Elneny picked an injury last week. The team were also in a predicament due to Thomas Partey in their FA Cup fourth round defeat against Manchester City.
