The NFL announced today that QB Trevor Lawrence will take over the role of Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes. Lawrence was selected in 2023’s Pro Bowl Games.
Lawrence will be joined by WR Jamal Agnew at the Pro Bowl Games. And is the 32nd Pro Bowler in the history of the franchise.The team has awarded Pro Bowl honors to Lawrence as the 3rd quarterback in the history of the team. Joining QBs Mark Brunell (1996, 1997 1999) and David Garrard (2009).
For the regular 2022 campaign Lawrence finished 387 out of 584 attempts, netting 25,113 yards and 411 TDs. He completed 387 of his passes. Which was among the best in an entire season for the franchise in its history. Also, his five rushing touchdowns were equal to Garrard for the highest number in single-season team history. As the only players in the NFL with more than 25 passing touchdowns as well as at least 5 rushing touchdowns. When playing Tennessee Titans on the 14th of November Lawrence reached a record-setting 368 yards of passing. He received the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his play.
The second-year quarterback
Tallied four 300-yard passing contests and managed three comebacks with 17 or more points. Which included a comeback being down by 27-0 during the postseason game with the Chargers. In two playoff games, Lawrence completed 52 of passes for 505 yards, and 5 TDs. Lawrence was able to throw the four TDs during the match against the Chargers making him the first player to be the youngest to ever in NFL history to score scores of four or more in a playoff match.
In 2023, the Pro Bowl games will take place in Las Vegas beginning on Thursday February 2nd. Pro Bowl players competing in the skills competition. This year’s Pro Bowl Games competition culminates with a seven against seven NFC thrilling Flag football match in Allegiant Stadium.
