The term “manship” is one I never understood before. To me, it appears to be code for smarts and lack of finesse. The guy in the suit and tie always looks like he’s trying to outmaneuver you; whereas a dapper gentleman in a tweed suit could be saying, “I think you’ve got something in mind.” And who on Earth doesn’t want to dress well for success? So let’s take a closer look at that word “manship,” shall we?

First, let’s examine what it means. In its simplest form, it says, “I do.” I know, this may sound silly and overly simple, but this is actually very effective. I can tell you right now that after seeing my husband dressed in a tweed suit with a neat shirt and a tie for success in 2021, I immediately felt that same sense of satisfaction and power that I did back then when I put together a great get together for his birthday party. If I had not put together this great get-together, I’m pretty sure I would have looked silly in front of many people!

If I were to try to explain the concept behind “dressing for success,” it would be difficult for someone who had never experienced it before. That said, it does entail knowing how to dress so you’ll look great and feel confident while doing it. It also entails having a sense of humor – you don’t want to look like a dork, do you? – as well as the ability to be comfortable in whatever you decide to put on for the event. Let’s face it, our job as fathers and husbands is to raise our children, and that includes looking good, dressing good, and looking good while doing it!

So, here are some more tips that may help get you started on your quest for success. It’s easy to be consumed by your goals when you’re dressed for success. What about knowing how to dress to impress people around you? That goes a long way! In fact, I’d say that dressing properly is even more important than being fashionable. Don’t forget the idea that you can dress well to impress other people; it’s just a part of being presentable and being appropriate.

One way to do this is to use your wardrobe to its fullest effect. Have fun with it. Decide what you’ll be wearing for dinner for example, and then buy the appropriate items for each evening. If you’re going out to dinner with a cute little something on as your hostess, go ahead and do it. You can also, at the very least, look nice while you’re dressing if you decide to do so. Just remember that your appearance says a lot about you, so make sure it reflects positively on you.

Next on the importance of how to dress for success list is to get organized. Dress appropriately according to the occasion. If you’re attending a formal function, have the appropriate clothing on. If it’s an informal gathering, you’ll probably want to get something comfortable and loose. Either way, you need to get organized so you look fantastic and can feel confident.

Next, remember to use color effectively. It doesn’t matter if you have to dress up to impress everyone else or you’re just trying to impress your date. You need to wear colors that will either get you noticed or that will make you stand out from the crowd. Make sure that they complement your skin tone, hairstyle, clothing choice, and personality. If there is a style in which you feel most comfortable, wear it.

And finally, just do your best to be gracious and kind. When someone introduces you, smile and say thank you. Don’t greet them with a sneer. If you feel the need to interrupt a meeting or event to tell someone that they are beautiful, do it, but be sure to keep eye contact. By dressing for success, you’ll be sure to get a lot more attention than if you tried to dress casually.
