Patty Tavatanakit became the first woman to win a major golf tournament in Thailand when she defeated China’s, Tian Dong. After the game, she got emotional as she felt the victory was hers for the taking. However, it was far from easy for her as she was defeated by another woman in the final game. However, since that day she has become the first major golf champion from Thailand.

For Patty, who started playing golf at age 17, winning the Women’s World Tour title in 2021 was a major turning point in her career. She made all the right moves needed to get to the top of the game. Now, that she has become the first major golf champion from Thailand, she is able to take some time off to relax and enjoy her success.

This woman played many years in the game before becoming the first woman to hold two players’ world records. In fact, before this accomplishment, she held the record of only two players. However, as things change drastically today, these two players become the first two players to hold two major golf championships. They have done this with their own respective countries.

This achievement has made Patty the second major golf champion from Thailand. The first one is Thai Linda Fricker who holds the British Open golf title. Now, two competitors from this country can claim that title. Another example of this type of female athlete with multiple titles is Christine Oh of Singapore and the unseeded Women’s Senior Golf title. Another example is Christine Peles of Spain, who holds the Senior Women’s golf title. So, this opens up the field for Patty, as she becomes the first woman from Thailand to hold two major golf titles.

This is a great feat in itself, but to be crowned the world’s best golfer you need to consistently play well. Recently, she has improved her swing and been able to hit longer golf drives. This has allowed her to be able to reach the top of the rankings in the world. As she continues to improve, she will soon be considered one of the best female athletes of all time.
