TWICE’s Jeongyeon and Dahyun will not be able to grace the stage at the group’s highly anticipated concert in Seattle due to their recent diagnosis of COVID-19. JYP Entertainment made an official announcement on June 16, revealing that Jeongyeon and Dahyun, unfortunately, tested positive for the virus after experiencing unwellness.
Consequently, the “READY TO BE” concert in Seattle, part of TWICE’s 5th World Tour, will proceed with the remaining seven members while Jeongyeon and Dahyun focus on their recovery. This news brings disappointment to fans who were eagerly anticipating the presence of all members.
JYP Entertainment, taking the health and safety of the artists and the fans as utmost importance, has made this difficult decision. They extend their sincerest apologies and kindly request understanding from everyone affected by this unforeseen circumstance.
As the North American tour continues, which commenced just last week and is scheduled until July, JYP Entertainment reassures fans that they will exert every effort to support Jeongyeon and Dahyun’s recovery and ensure that it does not disrupt the remaining shows. In the event of any changes, the agency promises to promptly update fans and ticket holders.
In conclusion, JYP Entertainment, on behalf of TWICE, expresses their heartfelt wishes for Jeongyeon and Dahyun to experience a swift and complete recovery. The absence of these talented artists serves as a reminder of the ongoing challenges posed by COVID-19, emphasizing the importance of health and well-being above all else.
