London (AFP) London (AFP) legendary metal singer Ozzy Osbourne on Wednesday announced the cancellation of concerts in his home country of the UK and Europe. Claiming that his body of his was “still physically weak” after the injury to his spinal cord.
The Birmingham-born, 74-year-old musician tweeted that he had canceled scheduled tour dates delayed for years in Europe and the UK. As I know I couldn’t deal with the travel required.”
The tour was repeatedly delayed due to Osbourne’s health condition and the Covid-19 pandemic.
He claimed that he was experiencing health issues even following a fall at a Los Angeles home in 2019 after a bout with pneumonia.
Since that time, “My one and only purpose during this time has to been to get back on stage,” the actor wrote.
“My singing voice is fine. However, after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently groundbreaking Cybernics (HAL) treatment. My body is still physically weak,” He said.
The company claims to be the most advanced “cyborg-type” robot; HAL is an assistive limb hybrid designed in Japan. That helps those who are in wheelchairs to walk again by through sensors linked to the control system of the unit.
Osbourne said she was “in all good conscience. I have now come to the realization that I’m not physically capable of doing my upcoming European and UK tour dates.”
“Never would I have imagined that my touring days would have ended this way,” said the singer. And thanked the fans “for giving me the life. That I never ever dreamed I would have.”
The actor also became famous for his antics. Such as cutting off the heads of live bats during the 1982 show.
